App designer, use your own app

Its quite obvious to me that the the app is just another item on someones to-do list. I see very little ownership of its usability or its UX.
My suggestion to the design team would be to use your own app. For your daily news.
You will very quickly see that when you click on an adjoining PDF, diagram or graph to an article, you cant zoom. Or rotate the screen to enlarge it. And it is next to impossible to read on a mobile device. Even a 5 inch phablet.
So you cant really get the news from The Straits Times. On mobile. All of it anyway. Which is the whole point of paying for it.
What a sad state of affairs.
